Video 4’25”
(in collaboration with Vincent Berger)
JAVAVAVA presents the fictitious island of Javavava, imagined according to the coded language used especially by children.
This island, because of its disadvantageous geographical position (hidden behind the second "A" of "Atlantic") suffers from an extreme insolence that makes it non-existent for the rest of the world. In parallel, written and spoken language is longer, it complicates translation and transmission, causing a delay in information and technological progress of the outside world of at least 30 years.
This video uses the form of zapping as well as the HI8 aesthetic to design a territory from an element derived from childlore.
